Well I made it to the final seven cars last night at the strip after losing in the first round and then buying back in. ran on my dial 3 times and ran a best ET of 13.66 in the last round which broke me out big time but I got tree'd badly and couldn't have held him off as he pulled a .011 light to my .055. The old Stang ran a 13.692, 13.687, 13.686, 13.682, 13.724, 13.718 and then the 13.660 even though I lifted at the last second! Pulling off the track after that loss my right rear slick went flat just as I got to the timing slip shack, so that would have ended my night anyway! Now whatever money I won will go to buying some new slicks!

 

congrats on the good night! how many competators that night? sounds like there was a **** ton.

 

I didn't get a 1st round car count, but I would guess there were at least 60 to 75 cars in the class last night. Having buy backs complicates the situation, but the race lasted 7 rounds and 64 cars without buy backs is 5 rounds, so like you said, there was a s**tload of cars there for sure. What really felt good was that I managed not to red light any once eliminations began!

Yeah, that's drag racing! But I sure am glad the tire went flat after I lost instead of after a win! Then I would have been one mad motherf**ker for sure! If this keeps up, I guess I'll have to invest in a spare wheel and slick too! Who knows, I haven't looked all that closely at the wheel yet, and it may need to be replaced too! Oh well, it's only money!

yep, no red lights during eliminations! and I got $20 round money for each win starting with the 2nd round win. if I could have gone one more round, I would have gotten either $200 as runner up or $800 as the winner!
