2007 350z nismo vs 2000 mustang gt
Well.. i just got my mustang back recently and I was cruising around when I see this brand new 2007 350z nismo edition pulling out of a turkey hill coming on to the same street as me in the same direction.... i was just like :-O and ironically as soon as he did the light right in front of us turned yellow and we both lined up. It was like something ud see on a movie... but anywayyss... I was kinda scared because I know they are pretty fast but surprisingly I took him pretty good by about half a car length up to about 70 mph then we let off.. I couldnt believe it. So then I see him flying up again and AGAIN we get stopped at another light so im like.. ok this times bawls to the wall... because I knew if he didnt try last time he was def trying this time. So I quickly turned off my traction control and got ready to go lol. This time I took him by a full car length to a car length and a half by 4th gear... i couldnt believe it. Lol again we get stopped at another light but this time i just rolled my window down to talk to him. I asked em if he was really trying and he was laughing embarassed looking and was like yeahhh. Turns out he worked at a nissan dealer and was just test driving the car.. as it still had the price, tags, etc on it. I was in shock. But yeah so that was the highlight of my day =).
You must have some nice mods to outrun a car that weighs about the same as you and has 305 crank hp. Read an article that dynoed them and they made 250 to the wheels.

Maybe?A 2000Mustang has a 30 pound torque advantage over the 350z. Depending on the trim level (Amount of nizmo upgrades)of the350Z it could have between 305 and 350 hp. It would probably take more than a little torque and a good driver to overcome that much horsepower.
Since it had dealer tags it could've been a bad driver mod. Perhaps it was an automatic? Those new 350Zs aren't too much faster than these cars to were a good vs bad driver can't win.

I've never found a 350Z that EITHER:
a) Ran well, or
b) Performed like it had anywhere near 300hp.
This run seems quite realistic to me.
