Update for all the haters that said the SS should have laid the smackdown and he needs the driver mod.. Pretty damn equal if you ask me huh!! BTW both cars ran on the same Dyno if it matters..

Well you have the kids that miss 3rd all the time...instead of going into 4th go into 2nd...and those who take 40 minutes on the 3-4 shift[&:]

It's not as present from a roll but a certain amount of skill that some don't pocess is required.

Not equal at all, look at power under the curve not just peak numbers.

 

That's still a pretty nice torque curve. Also have to consider that the car revs higher so while the Camaro is wasting time shifting the Cobras still in it's powerband.

 

And full exhaust wont get hime more than a tenth? This story is very believable, the only bad thing about the 320hp 4v 4.6 in the 99/01 Cobras is that all of the power is up top. So....full exhaust in a car that makes horsepower in higher RPMs versus a stock, low 13 second car doesnt compute? Its not like he destroyed the LS1, he didnt even say he won. He said the guy was slowly inching. Good runs dude.

 

From a roll I am not launching so the torque curve under 4k is irrelevant. When I shift around 6,500 RPM it drops right to 4K so I stay right inside my powerband..BTW you dont think I noticed that he is over 300 FT LBS from damn near idle ???? His car is fast but mine aint no turd either!!!
