stock for stock a mach one 5 speed and an LS1 (any tranny) is a drivers race, with the LS1 having more top end *****. anyone who says either is "definitely" faster is a moron.

It's a 13.50 car bone stock.. With gears and exhaust + good driver 13.20 or better .. LS What...
careful buddy.

a mach1 is a low 13 second car stock. i've seen s197 GT's put down consistent 13.34's, and the Mach has more HP and is lighter. with a great driver its a 13.1-13.2 car.
From what I have seen, the S197's put just about as much RWHP down as the Mach 1's. They do weigh lighter though, sooo.

Mach 1 is good for low-mid 13's.

Sadly, theree was a guy with weld in mufflers at the track last time I was there in the Fall running consistent 13.9's@101

I can understand the traction being horrible enough to blow a run into the high 13's, but how do you explain the 101 trap other than the guy being a HORRIBLE shifter?

i hope u dont mean stock. the SN95 just doesnt have the oats to do that stock, even with slicks.

however, all things being equal, I would say the Mach1 LS1 race would be damn close, with the advantage to the mach in a shorter race (mach1 with a gear advantage, ls1 with the top end)

maybe you misunderstood?

S197=05+
SN95=94-04

I agree with the Mach1/LS1 runnin about the same.
