Default 97-99 Vette....

I was cruising tonight looking for some fun and with it being Sunday there was no one out. So I was headed down the road and this white Vette pulled out right beside me. Looked something like a 97-00 Vette and the guy looked to be in late thirties or early fourties. Well he took off and slowed down and I wasnt going to mess with him because I know he is well out of my range. So he slipped in behind me as I passed him and followed me all the way to the on ramp for the highway. I pulled onto the ramp and I seen him coming up behind me really fast. I got into the right hand lane and he passed me doing about 70. Well I fell in behind him and he was riding the @$$ of this car in front of him and I could tell he he was trying to get around it. Finally the car gives way and he took off. I had it in third and decided to follow to see how wel I could keep up. To my surprise he only pulled inches on me and we got to about 140mph and then he vioently hit the brakes like he was pissed off that I was still back there or something.

Just thought I would share my story and get bashed a little. But like I said... 75HP more and better engineering... I knew he was out of my league.

Thats pretty good though, if he wasn't pullin too much on you even though he has 75 more hp. Good story, throw on a blower and then dominate GM!

Way to keep up with the Vette! He probably was pissed that you were still right behind him. You got to 140MPH.....damn my speed limiter[:@]

THe vettes aerodynamics should of given him more of a lead then that, especailly after 120, good job.

Depending on how far behind he was aero might not have made much of a difference on the Stang. The Vette was moving the air and if you stay right behind him you wont be so drag limted.

Sounds interesting your stang runs pretty good.

Well I figured I stayed behind him because of the areodynamic advantage of him being in front. But never the less I was happy! Surprised more than ever though.
