anyone raced one? im looking into that and the jetta GLI currently. im sure the impreza would blow the doors off of the GLI but it would be a daily driver and have basic mods, and with a 5.5 sec 0-60 on the TR im quite impressed. anyone have any experience?

 

friend has one "stock" he pulls on me out of the hole (AWD), but in the quarter they will only do about 14.4, they arent slow, but not realy fast either, until you start modding that is......but thats not the impressive part, the handling is amazing. It sticks to the road as good as anything ive ever been in or driven. The stock suspension on those cars are pretty damn sweet, and being AWD you can really do some impressive cornering through the twisties.

 

what year GLI? I had a GTI with the 1.8t engine, stock a raced a wrx from a dig several times, he would get me off the line by about half a car, but then I would pass him with ease. It was a 2003ish WRX, dont know if the new ones are faster.

 

new body style gli, forgot to mention 4 door (thought all were) 06+

 

yeah the new ones have more power and different gears, there pretty much the fastest thing for the money right now
