Pulling off of the Interstate yesterday, I was a car behind one of the new 350Z's. I noticed the driver checking me out in his mirror and he revs his engine a couple of times. The light turns green and he takes off pretty good, but I'm behind someone so I don't pay any attention.

At the next light, it's the same scenario. He's up front in the left lane, I'm behind a truck in the right. He then starts to rev frequently at me and takes off slow from the light and then hits it. The truck in front of me signals to turn so I go around him on the left at a leisurely pace. As soon s the Z driver sees me, he immediately switches to the right lane and hits his brakes to wait on me.

I slowly creep up beside him and notice there is no one close to the front or rear of us. He's a younger guy and looks over at me racing the engine while we are running about 35 MPH. I then proceed to shift to second, pop the clutch and break the rear end of my car completely loose. I then straighten it back up, look over at him, and smile while motioning for him to go. He grins at me and then shakes his head no.

We both pull in at the next store and talk for a second. He turns out to be a cool guy. His car was real nice too. I told him I liked the color. (Same as mine)

My wife and i just got a 2004 350Z. There fast but nothing like a modded stang. But next week my twin turbo,exhaust,cams.heads come in. trust me i'm not into RICE but my wife loves the car, and i said if we buy it then i want to add about 10k to it to make fast as it looks. I have seen a 2003 350Z running twin turbo's,with same parts pretty much what i had ordered running 10.50's. But mines an auto. I'll be taking some pics of it this week i'll be sure to post them.

what exhaust did you order for the z? is it true dual or split exhaust

 

DAMN. must be nice 2 have that much money. i like Z's though. very nice, can be made VERY QUICK. if im not mistaken, a tuned 350Z won Sport Compact's USSC(ultimate street car challenge) the last time they had it.......theyre nice, quick, balanced cars. especially modded. but, nothing for a modded stang. especially a new Cobra like SOMEBODY ON HERE !!!!!

On this note, a guy I work with has a new 350z stock. I've got a stock GT. The question of course is who's going to win?

 

This one has already been debated in previous posts. It'll be a drivers race if you have a 99+ GT.

And I don't blame the kid for backing down. He may be a puss, but he's a smart puss. LOL!
