Default FIRST RUN IN WITH A Z-28

Cruising one day and a Z-28 pulls infront of me, i got excited thinking i was finnally going to see what all the hype over these cars are. We catch a light and the guy asked me if i was stock, i said yes and he also said he was. We agree to a 5mph roll to 100, light turns green and we hit it. To my suprise i actually got about a car ahead to about 70, then he just started pulling on me hard. By 100 he was about 3-4 cars infront.

Also his car was auto, mine is a 5spd.

The Z-28 was a 00-02 I've got a 02 GT

About 100 more than you but it depends on who you ask . Most will say ~350 at the flywheel.

Getting beat by 3 or 4 carsto 100 (roughly 1/4 mile for the stang) doesn't seem too shabby for the Mustang. I know, I know....the LS1 had to have been an auto with 2.73, stock, had a bad driver, bald tires, wasn't paying attention, running on 7 cylinders, had 6 passangers, could ran this, shoulda ran that....yeah, we all know...

Good run DSTANG02GT

high 12/low 13s, they 01-02s are more capable of those times then the 98-00 ones due to the LS6 intake

he wasnt trying that hard

Yeah, maybe on a cool winter morning on a well prepped track at Atco with a 40mph tail wind. Running in the 12's with a stock F-body is extremely rare, LS6 intake or not.

An auto will put down around 290-300 at the rear wheels. As far as the 1/4 mile is concerned, the times in my sig are fairly typical for an auto, though a 3.23-geared model may be a tad quicker.
Please refer to the sticky above (which apparently is invisible and useless) for more information.
