hes actually right, yea 650 700 wheel tops and then ur done, but the block can handle i believe it was posted that its like 1500 hp, which is incredible if u can get the internals to support it.

I don't think 800-900 would really qualify as stock now would it Do you just mean the stock bottom end?
I'm sure that's what he means...I'm guessing 650bhp. Anything over and you might hear an explosion..

Incorrect. There are a lot of turbo, KB, and Whipple Cobras pushing anywhere from 700-900 rwhp on the stock shortblock. Once they get to 1000 rwhp thats when it gets a little hairy.

Cobra loses big time. Stock for stock the SS and the Cobra is a drivers race.

The stock terminater would be completely destroyed......Full bolt-on /cammed F-body's have gotten in the 10's.......Stock terminaters are good for a 12.9-13.1.

That a no-brainer........

Mustang9668-If your referring to the 99/01 Cobra's then yes...

No, the Cobra engines can hold more than 650RWHP. 700RWHP is the point people don't like to go past. But there has been a few to make over 700RWHP.

650 dang thats still alot of power for not going into the engine.
A guy I work with is 647 RWHP. Hes been running that for about a year and you can tell its not good for the car.lol I think your right on when you said 650 HP is as such as you can do without it exploding.

I would have to think reliability suffers when you start getting above 700bhp......If the car is strictly for the track only,fine.......But as for a DD I would nottrust taking a 700hp with the stock bottom end on any long road trips

As long as the car is tuned and maintained properly, the car shouldn't have any reliability issues. But, 700RWHP is A LOT of power so it is possible. Of coursewith that amount of power, thereis A LOT of stress on the engine. But as long as you're not in boost every other minute then the car should hold up fine on long road trips. Especially since the majority of Cobras pushing this amount of power are turboed. But DD a Cobra with this amount of power is a different story. When I was looking to buy my Terminator, I went to go look at one that just happened to have a Kenne Bell on it. I'm not sure how much power it had exactly, but the majority of the salesman told me 600+ RWHP. After being in the driver seat of that car for15 seconds I realized that there is no way possible that anyone could tolerate daily driving that car. It had a stage 3 clutch that felt like you needed steroids in you left leg just to pushin and let out the clutch. It was horrible. And the suspension was also ROCK solid. The car had either a Kenny Brown or Maximum Motorsports race suspension (can't remember which one). It just hurt to drive that car. Even just cruising in 6th wan't comfortable. But with this being said, I don't see how anyone could have thetolerance it takes to DD even a 600+ RWHP car. There are plenty of people who do it though.

But DD has nothing to do with how much power the engine can hold.
