My v6 was an xr7 and their was an v8 4.6 liter. I think their was also a special edition cougar with an 5.0 engine around that 94-96 era, but I don't know the specs on it.

 

Is it just me, or do the newer Cougars look girly or something? There's something about them where I just don't see many straight guys behind the wheel.

 

lol, theres 3 at my school and girls drive all three, for the price of a cougar he could probably get a the same year mustang for the same price if not cheaper

 

its a 99 v6, 2. somethin liter. where do they cut off at, it has 155 on the speedo, but i dont see it doin that

A friend of mine had a 99 Cougar with the V6 and it was really slow. He ran like a mid 16 in the quarter mile stock.

 

1989-1995. Cougars came out with either a N/A 3.8, a Supercharged 3.8(same as the Supercoupe Tbird), or the 5.0

1996-1997 they either had the NA3.8 or the 4.6, and they could all been classified as an LS or XR7. no matter what engine.

 

2000 Cougar???? The manual 2000 cougar goes from 0-60 in 7.8. Even if you're hammered or have blown a cylinder, you're a large favorite!!!!

 

My neighbor had a 2001 silver v6 5spd.....we raced once....needless to say, but everytime after that if i were to see him on the road and try to hint a race, he would back down faster then a white boy in the ring with mike tyson
