(dumbass question) MILES? 1/4 or 1/2 mile race or on the cars mine 75,000 his around 70,000 to 75,000

 

He's talking about car mileage since the 5.0 cars are getting pretty old. You have some low miles for a 13 year old car

 

my car is 42 years old and its got 55k miles, its my daily driver

 

i raced an old 5.0 in my 3.8 and i beat him but i think his stang was ready to be put down..... blue smoke was rolling out of the back of his car i thought forsure it was guna blow up lol.......so as all as ur car can still run right u will smoke him

 

SN95 5.0Ls dont make 200rwhp. Its like 180ish.

What mods are on each car, what transmissions, is he a vert or coupe? If you are both stock and manuals, there is a good chance he'll win. Driver's race if your car is in good shape.

EDIT: Bah, just saw the mods list. You'll win. Dont expect to put busses on him like some of the otehr members are saying, but if you lose and he has that Y-pipe.....ouch, lol

 

the sn's and foxes are exactly the same. The reason the HP ratings are different is to promote the 4.6l. My money is on the 5.0

 

I dont see this being close at all......

If it was an 05+ 4.0 then there is a chance it'd take you, but a 5.0 from a dig, regardless of the weight on the 95&95's shouldnt have much, if any problems with a 3.8 new edge....

 

^What do you think a stock '99-'04 V6 T5 can run in the QM? The 4.0Ls arent too much quicker than the Edges, they are just more forgiving. As for me, I dont see this being a blow out for the 5.0 stang. Why? Because from the factory they were turds. Granted, he has mods, but he only has a CAI and is short two cats. Will it help? yeah. Will he win? Probably. But those two extra cylinders arent gonna make up for the fact that even if his car only has 75k miles on it, the engine itself is still 13 years old. Gaskets, seals, he didnt mention what kind of transmission he has either. If the V6 has a 5spd and he has a worn out 4R70W, bye. If they both have autos, driver's race. If he has a 5spd and the dip in the 6er is auto.....dayumm, lol. But he didnt mention anything about having a new transmission in his car. Or having anything rebuilt. So its like a balding, middle aged man in a footrace against a teenager. Im still saying driver's race until transmissions come into play.

 

You should get him for sure.

 

I'm going out on a limb here and predict the faster car with the better driver is gonna take this one. Another day another outcome though....
