8.4 Seconds..OMFG FAST!!!!!
Hey guys it is Saturday night and I am in East Brunswick, Nj. I have been at a drag strip all day. There were all kinds of races going on but the reason I am here is my dad. He came up for the Corvette Challenge and was supposed to race his 1200hp Corvette but the Oil Pump went out on it last week so we just came up to watch. The guy that built the car for my dad is Keith Valone from Corvette Connection is Ft. Myers Fl. and He has a C4 drag car that he built and is going to be up for sale at the end of the year. For anyone who is interested he has a 553 block in it and runnin a small shot of NOS (175 shot) and was running 8.4's and 8.5's al night and won the 1st place trophy in the "Top 8 Class". So for anyone who is interested in buying a NHRA drag car contact him, just call Corvette Connections in Fl.
no, he hasnt even driven it yet, the only person to have driven it is the guy that built it. We havnt gotten it back yet b/c it wasnt finished. But they HAVE FINALY finished it but they blew the OIL PUMP on it so he has to replace it before we can pick it up. But the guy that built it said that it will pull a foot wheely. And to answer your questions: It has a 427 and a D1 procharger putting out 10lbs of boost (those are the major mods) and other than taht they basically have modded out everything else in the car...i couldnt even begin to list them here. And for the questions about 1/4 mile...they are predicting 8 or 9 seconds. And yes i have pictures of them putting the engine in it and putting in the roll cage but this website wont support the pictures b/c each picis like 1.4 MB b/c of the SUPER high resolution taken witha Nikon D1 digital camera. And on the other end of things... There was a guy up there with a Mach1 with the same a FULL BASSANI SYSTEM but w/o the headers and he was running 13.09. So I am hoping that my headers will put me into 12.9 or 12.8, that would be kick@$$.
No, I am talking 1/4 Mile...If you want to see this beast race go to www.challengevideos.com to see the videos from the race. The guy that owns this vette is Keith Valone. Just look for his name and then select the video. It will be on the list on the right PRO-8 RACE!! Check it out!!
