So I'm on my way home the other day, and these two punks in a new RX8 keep getting on my ***. There are about 5 cars in front of me, so I'm thinking these guys are a couple of dicks.

The lane widens into two, and I move over. They're still on my ***. But we're coming up to a red light. Perfect. I swerve over back into the left lane, and they pull up to me on the right. The one thug is looking at me and reving his gerbal. Light goes green and they take off. But it goes back into one lane. So they had about a 1/2 a second lead on me. I put the hammer down and drop about 10 cars on them. So we keep going and the street goes back into two lanes. (Isn't Illinois great!) They pull up to me at the next light, and I rolled the window down. The kid isn't laughing anymore, and says..."Man, that thing is fast. I should have gotten a Mustang." I chuckled and said...You're an Idiot. Turned left and thought. I should post this to see how many people argue about how fast RX8's are...

I love hearing things like that... Most people that dont know much...think mustangs are all the v6 speed... atleast my friends. One of them was like awe why u get a mustang there slow. Im like wtf... i pick him up take him for a ride... hes like holy ****!!! I never been in a mustang that the speedo goes up to 150 only 120... Haha... dumbass.

That's odd, I find that many people think that all Mustangs have a V8.
The race I had with an RX-8 was similar; we were in a left hand turn lane and about a 1/2 mile after the turn the two lane road turned into one. I guess the chick in the RX-8 really wanted to be in front of me when we got to that point. Denied.

 

Hmm, i dunno... im not from a poor area... just not rich, theres was a lot of kids at my old high school that had v6's. Especially <99's only one person at my school had a v8 (in a car) which was a 90 5.0 or something.

Since ive been at college for a couple years, i see mustang gt's a lot even a cobra every now and then... but back home i never see 99+ gt's or camaro z28's/ss for that matter. I see more vettes than i do stang gt's... why cause all the people that have money our real old and buy vettes haha.

You'll se a lot more V6's at a high school than V8's because they are cheaper to buy and high school kids tend to be broke. More importantly, a teenager who wants insurance for a V8 performance car is gonna get raked over the coals. I should know; I do the raking for a living.

 

Haha, i'm only 19.... i get a fairly good deal cause i know my insurance agent personally... and fix all his computers and do networking for his office... but yeah he was showing me how the numbers work on the computer for the average person.... its insane for a teenager.
