question about chevy monte carlo
ok i am trying to make this race happen as soon as the track opens up.
chevy monte carlo 355 solid cam and lifters (520/520 230 durtaion @50) 400 small block heads edelbrock air gap intake and 700 carb stock gears (2.29's) 3spd auto
how much power is he making roughly? he says AT LEAST 300rwhp. i persoanlly find that hard to believe.
vs. friends 91gt 306 x cam track heat b&m supercharger @10psi 3.73s
how much are they making? roughly
and who would win. were just trying to get an idea of the outcome

He might have 300 HP but your well over that so you shouldnt have much trouble with him.
Thats not really a monte carlo anymore. They were dogs from the factory. I'm pretty sure that the G-body cars came with the 307 or the v6 from the factory. Both under 200 hp.

I'm by no means an expert so take everything I say with a grain of salt.lol

I would say with a set-up like that hes pushing 300 hp at the crank. Its basically just a rebuilt chevy 350.....nothing to special.

You would think if that guy with the monte carlo went throug the trouble of rebuilding that motor (he had to get to 355) and swapping the cam/intake that he would have gotten some better heads. Fox ftw
