Why were you so scared to take on an LT1 in the rain? He would have the same disadvantage that you had. Just wondering.

speaking on rain races...for those of you who have been to quaker city in ohio...i was therethree or fouryears ago and the rain started right after my burnout. it was hard enough rain that most tracks would have shut the races down for the day, and it turned into a SERIOUS storm, but it was hard enough that any car that runs could spin the tires, and we were staging for an elimination run...i believe that i was dialed 12.70...i was racing against a tibby that must have had 200lbs worth of decals on it...when the rain started, the tibby hurried ans pre staged...i waived my hands and shook my head "no" and the staging official came around and asked me what i wanted. i told him that i wasnt about to run in the rain, and his reply was "its street class...if you had real street tires, you wouldnt care...so its what you get for using cheaters". and he walked back around to the middle of the track...my dad waived me into the beams...so i staged, and had to spot this joke of a car something liek 3.5 seconds in the rain...luckily, the dumb broad pulled such an AWFUL light, that i was able to baby it out and catch her by half track, with the tires spinning...i got a little brave and got into it on the top end and i managed to trap in the mid 90s...
when i got off the track and pulled the car under the awning of the motor home, the dumb bitch had the brass to ride by and call me a sand bagger...
and people wonder why quaker is being auctioned off...
