Well..I know this is the street/strip section..but even though I didn't get to race..I guess it is something to be mentioned. I went down to ave P the infamous spot for drag racing in NJ. Its been getting hot again over seventy cars there friday night. I was there for about an hour, just bsing, watching the ricers run.( 75% of the cars that are go there are some sort of Honda) I had just got in line to give it a run, rematch of the civic that beat me..just put in the long tube headers and H pipe it was time for revenge. Well of course cops rolled through, comming from both sides. Well 70+ cars is pure mayhem when we are trying to get away from the cops. I am not sure what happened, I know that 5 people got caught..most of us including me had to pop curbs to get away..but hey..no damage done. Anyway, on the way of running out of there I saw a cop car flipped over..not good. But..for the moment it was a pure adrenaline rush, and pretty much had me amped the whole night. Well I found out that officer in the car died..I will post the name when they release it..I think it is something worth mentioning. I am pretty sure no one is happy this officer died, and its horrible that it had to happen. I think I will be staying away from street racing for a while just out of respect. And I hope this is a lesson to anyone else that is into street racing. Yah the fun and adrenaline is there..but it is not worth anyone dieing..especially an officer that most likely is leaving a family behind losing his life over it. Stay stafe out there everybody.
