Default raced a supercharged 96 gt

yesterday my dads friend decided to stop over for a little bit with his supercharged 96 mustang gt...exhaust short throw...dont know how many lbs of boost he was running but other than thoes mods, and some tires and rims hes stock...he said he took it to the track and ran a low 13 with it...i think he said 13.4...anyway he left my house and i followed...we were both at a light next to eachother, the light turned green and we turned and once we both got straight we nailed it...i was in second and got a little jump on him...he caught up but after that we stayed dead even...we went to 95 mph...i felt pretty good about keeping up with a supercharged mustang

wow, something has to be wrong.. just a supercharger on a NPI Gt should be putting down 330 or so at the wheels.. and it should really be pulling harder up top than your's

Good kill though! Least you can chalk up a supercharged gt now!

well if its a completely NPI gt then hes probly only putting down about 310-315 at the wheels and with the OP's boltons and suspension its very possible that he beat him.

Nice kill! But something about you beating him from a roll doesn't sound right. Is his car tuned?

A supercharged NPI GT should put 330 to the wheels down? Thats seems quite high. Dont they make around 180ish to the wheels stock? Thats like, a 80% gain with just a supercharger. Unless he's running 12#+ or something his numbers shouldnt be that high. I was thinking more like 270-280 ish considering most s/c's run 6 to 8 lbs.

I find it hard to bellieve a '96 gained or would gain130+ to the wheels with a stock motor unless he's cranked up the boost in a major way.The 4.6's first year wasn't exactly a ground pounder, heck the current V6 puts out nearly the same HP numbers. I could see a '96 4.6 putting MAYBE 285 to the rear wheels and a tad over 300 to the crank.
