since I'm going to bracket the LS at the strip and probably sneak into points and have a little fun this year I thought this should go here

I contacted lidio at alternative auto.... a really good tuner that tuned my fair 2V that a still miss royally

anyways.... he has tuned 7 previous 3.9L's and told me aolt of useful information about the motor... he told me everything that was wrong stock... and everything the tune does to correct it....

he quoted me with a full dyno tune, a CAI, 1" drop and a 75 wet shot... I told him I wanted to go 100 but he convinced me out of it with telling me about having to run a flash program and retard the timing.... I'm going ZEX, because it's the best kit that runs with a return fuel line

so I'm quoted at around 2K flat out the door, and the date is locked in at june 3rd and I will be leaving the car with him for a week.... this will be his first 03+ 3.9L on the drums... and his first ever LS running a shot.... so I'm probably going on his site somewhere... which is cool

now for the blunt of my post.... who's accompaning me to milan dragway some weekend in mid june? because I want to get a MF group started that wants to make a few passes with me

The fact that it's just a Jaguar motor and not an actual Ford motor...which means it's actually efficient.

lol yeah.... well that;s what thebottle isthere for... but all in all... I won't be getting alot of runs on thre street due to the fact that it's so sleeperish and it doesn't make a sound because I'm leaving the exhaust stock

honestly... I don't plan on running alot of V8's... I went into this deal to bracket... and to make ricers **** their pants.... I have pretty much made up my mind that the V8 race has supassed ANYTHING I can do to this car and I just want a quick luxo DD that will put some wows on a few faces that look at it as a big boat

meh... I'll still go to like ubly by myself or something... last time I was at ubly I got 22 runs in with the GT... hopefully it will be that way again... show some TS's to ROTM and scan my dyno graphs.... send him the whole package so I'm accepted as "legit" [8D]

isnt ubly pretty far from this area? ive not been there, but it is my understanding that milan, norwalk, and lapeer are all closer?

 

from me... ubly seemed to be as far as milan... figure milan used to take me hour-hour and a half

I would say ubly was about a 2 hour run.... but I followed my friend.... if it was up to me I would have just took 94 toward port huron and just rode the e-way on down.... he was taking me down little 55mph 2 lane rincky dinks... said it was faster

there was only like 2 fbods.... 2 terminators and a few mix and match streeters and like 5 drag cars there... after early morning alot of people stopped running and you could basically hot lap it for the whole day if you really wanted
