Hey, i dont have a Mustang, but am just curious here. Could a V6 Mustang stock, with a manuel Transmission beat a BMW z4 stock to stock? And what about a GT mustang, could that beat the Z4 if the V6 cant? Just wandering guys

 

a v6 cannot. A GT, would be a drivers race, a Z4 is a low 14 second car

I`m pretty sure the z4 would whoop on a stock V6 1999-2004, 05+ can take Z4s. 99-04 V6s need gears to take one,they're quick cars,they come at 215 HP stock. And yeah GT would rape the z4 lol.

 

Do some research before replying guys. The older ones come w/ 225 hp and are good for a 14.2 in the 1/4. Thats pretty much a driver's race w/ a New Edge GT, although I'd lean toward the GT, mostly because Mustang's are much easier to launch than a z4, S2000 type car w/ no torque. The new GT's will probably smash a Z4 at any speed. A New Edge v6 will get killed by the z4 at any speed, gears or not, especially if the v6 is an auto. It wouldn't even be close.

 

they got a small 4 banger or small 2.X in a z4 thats pretty damn slow that ive hung with in my 02

 

Either you're thinking of a z3 (slower than a z4), or your 02 is a GT. If you're an 02 v6 and you're near stock, he wasn't racing you. 4-banger or not, it wouldn't be close.

Yeah mustangman02232, thats a z3. They're a high 14 second 1/4 mile while the z4 is a low 1/4 mile car. I believe they quit making the z3 when they started making the z4.

 

yeah, the z4 replaced the z3. the z4's are dogs though. my stepdad has one and his new 328ci pulls harder that the z. [:'(]
