Default 91Lx Against 93 LS1 Trans Am

Ok, so my buddy with a 91lx ran against our other friend with a 93 tranny with the 350. Heres a list of mods for each car.

Mustang
-SLP Off road h pipe and mufflers
-BBK CAI
-Chipped and Tuned
-70mm Throttle Body
-3.73's

Tranny
-3 inch exhaust
-CAI
-Chipped
- And his main advantage, the 350

Ok, so we went out to a really long back road, first they did a dig.

Mustang won by about 3-4 cars, Tranny broke the tires loose

Second run was a 20mph roll. Great race, they pulled dead even until about 85, then then tranny pulled by about a fender.

Third run was another dig. Lx wins by about 3 cars, tranny spun the tires again.

Forth and final run was a 25mph roll, again, a deadeven run until about 85mph, tranny had a fender again. Great race.

The best part is, I got video from the side of the road, so Ill post it up tommorow.

So right here is perfect proof that a lightly modded stang can run with the 350.

IF they took them to the strip, it would be an awsome race, for sure it would be the driver over the car.

+1 the "tranny" must've had a swapped LS1, because they had LT1's to begin with.

*Edit. Now that i've read your post, you've made a minor mistake. You called it an LS1, yet then you called it a 350. A 350 = a LT1 a 346 (yes, minor) = a LS1

Wow....I'm still confused.

And to answer your original statement.A lightly bolt-on LS1 would outrun said Foxbody with a blind crippled man driving it.

You can't "chip" an LS1. I think the only LT1 able to be "chipped," is the '93 for that matter. And I'd still put money on the LT1....

No...the LS1 is the cream of the crop when it comes to f-bodies (Camaro's/TransAm's).
