Its a beautiful car and I'm sure it will handle great, however I'm a bit disappointed its N/A after seeing what some tunners are doing with the TT 3.0 in the new 335i.

my mom's brand new 07 vette had a differential leak at less than 1k miles. she drives it like a grocier getter and never beats on it either.

her 01 had the same problem, but that happened at like 21k miles. the GM manager's answer to why was "basic wear and tear".
Tis tru- Allthough in my case there was a clunking noise in the rear end (no leaks) at 3K miles. They refilled the differential fluid and so far no problems...If your mom is still having problems give your Chevy dealer this Technical service bullitin # PIP3559C.(clutch packs)...They should know where to go from there..

i understand...and IMO, the interior of the vette is much better now than the older models....but it is the flagship for GM.

my dad and i had a project 92 525i...we got it really cheap, and it needed some work...it is still running strong, with something like 245,000 miles on it...original engine, first new gearbox...with some minor mods...its not a quarter mile monster, but its a nice smooth car, even for its age.
My friend had a 99 540 (this was three years ago) and was consistantly in the shop for something....No matter the brand they allmake their fair share of lemons..

The 2008 base model Corvette will be getting a 425- 450bhp LS3 so I don't see it having too much problem...The curb weight on M3's are not exactly light so I would think at best a drivers race against my car...Until I make my trip to Synergy...[sm=badbadbad.gif]
This one should be around 3300 pounds or so. With a 420HP V8 that revs up to 8K+ rpms...I would say that LS3 needs to be dropped in the C6 pronto....

Why do peolpe buy Corvettes and drive them like a grandmother? I dont get it.When you spend that much money, then drive like a bitch, why get one of the baddest sports cars on the planet? Not everyone, but i see more women and old dudes in them than anyone. I had a 93,bounced me all over the place becasue I dodnt have ride adjustment, but it wasquick, cool, and fun.

is that comfirmed by GM?

and not to rag on your two, but a corvette is still a chevy, with chevy quality...the bmw might be slower, but its a much more sound vehicle...

also, i dont think that this M3 is the enemy of mustangs, except for maybe gt500s...
I don't think thats fair. gm has been upping the quality on all of their cars over the years and, dangit, I would rather have an XLR-V than a dumb M3 or whatever is the equivolent. I mean, give the general a break, they are much better than they used to be.

Also, could you please go into the future an tell me which car is going to die first?
