Nice run. But I do have to agree with Dub 6. Racing with passengers is not a good idea. Not trying to **** on your parade or anything. Just voicing an opinion.

They were rated at what they were supposed to be making, but they were actually making less than 300 hp. Ford didn't "overrate" them persay, but they stopped production and restarted in 01 as you said.

 

well, 99 cobras Pre-fix were slow as hell... my 98 cobra dynoed 270hp, 271tq with just intake and cat back my buddies 99 dynoed 262hp, 268tq with intake, full exhaust. After they fixed the problem they were runnin alittle better

The problem with pre-01 Cobra's is the torque curve. It falls off much quicker, this gives any respectable 99+ GT driver a chance to outrun one, suprisingly our SOHC motors have a respectable torque curve that doesn't fall off the same way as the pre-01 DOHC's.

 

You can tell by looking at the spoiler on the back.....The 99's have the pretty spoiler...01's have the Knight Rider looking spoilers on the back....LOL...That's the only way you can tell the difference between the two....Also 99-00 Mustang GT's have this same spoiler 01-04 Have the other ugly type spoilers....that resemble the ones that came on 82-83 Firebird Trans AM's...(Knight Rider Cars)..

also aren't the taillights different? my tail lights are slightly different than 99's. both being stock. i think there is a color difference in one of the lenses. not sure though.
