GT kills an Evo.....
My friend in his stock Evo knows this chick w/ an '03 GT 5-speed, who just happened to be out last night. He calls her up to see if she wants to race, and it's a go. So they go out of town and get two races in: from a 30 roll, GT pulls about 5 cars to 100, then they let out. Then they go from a dig, and the GT takes him out of the hole, and keeps pulling. Has him by about 6 cars at 90ish. We go back into town and talk, and she says her car is completely stock. She wouldn't pop the hood for us, though. It was a good kill(s), but something doesn't sound right. Anyways, since I'm always postin races w' other imports, thought you might enjoy hearing an Evo lose to a Stang.....[&:]
I bet she wasn't running stock unless she was an excellent driver and the Evo driver didn't know how to drive. I can't keep up with Evos in the 1/4 mile, they run about 5 or 6 tenths quicker then my Cobra and I have 60 more horsepower than a new edge GT. Just IMO

In higher elevation fi engines tend to run closer to their sea level performance if that makes any sense. In Denver I run a 15.3 at 94 mph and I was behind an Evo that appeared to be stock that ran a 14.7 at 92mph the difference could have just been the 60 ft time mine was an abysmal 2.5. Though it could be the driver mod I don't yet know how to drive it to it's limits.
