dynos are a CONTROL DEVICE. dyno a car one place it may be 200 take it down the street 15 minutes later to a different shop and you'll see DIFFERENT results. Thats why you have crazy people coming in here saying they got 15 hp from a CAI. In order to be accurate you should use the same dyno after your mods are installed, other wise it just wont be accurate.

I saw it this morning and the show was from 02 and I pretty sure it's the 99 SS they used in the 'LSgun' build up. The one the spins a bearing and they rebuild the engine. Lord knows were they found the car and how well it was taken care of.

Well 285 rwhp on a 99 ss is not bad. At 15% loss that means it's putting out 335hp at the crank which is still 15hp underrated. As Stated before 01 and 02 had even better numbers and some of them had LS6 blocks which were even better then that.
