Two weeks ago I said no more street racing, since I've blown off 4 races.

Just a few minutes I see this ricer on the freeway, it looked kind of like a tiburon or something. He beeps at like 60ish give or take 1mph. He goes on 2 and I leave on three (love how that works) well, it took me untill 115 to catch and pass him [:@]. I can't believe I did that I am so pissed at myself. Whats even stupider is after that I raced him two more times, lol. Second one was 55 to 90ish. We left at the same time so I murdered him, really bad. Third time was 50 to 90 again. Once again another slaughter.

You'd be suprised at how much the "jump" matters. I can make it look like my car is faster than my buddies 'Stang that runs 13.2s with the jump...it took him from 0-90 to catch me.

If anyone ever wants to race you for money and says: "well you have a v8 or blah blah blah, let me just have the jump", don't do it...

I know I know, street/strip, it's cool if you move it, I just only talk to you guys now.

hey man i hear ya on the jump thing. i was on the highway last week and raced a 96 gt vert...we raced once and i beat him no problem...second time he also went on 2...and at about 100 he slowed down but i was barely catching up

 

Well it's also because that slow *** automatic has to think what gear it's going to downshift to

 

thats why i like racing on the track, lol

 

The technical term is "slowmatic".
You can also use autotragic.

yeah i don't race too muchanymore either. too many idiots thinking that a race is driving like a pissed off teenager cutting other traffic off, driving on the shoulder, ect. So i leave it on the track unless it is a friend and were cruising.
