well i just talked to him and he's up for it, all i know is he has cams and other few things done to the motor, but turbo is 12 psi. it's not a GST or GSX, just a GS with turbo trying to be a GST/GSX. but if his turbo is around stock for GST i might have a chance.

The car ROTM is talking about is called Project Goodwill. Google it for details....
manual trans?
let him drive it for a while and then race him, because unless hes running aftermarket internals, its not going to last long at all on 12psi...most people who boost that engine only run 6-8 psi, and 10 is considered the max. if he has modified the engine enough to handle that 12psi for any length of time, he is probably making enough power to beat you...
to give you an idea..a friend of mine has a 95 sebring, which is the 95 eclipse with a different body. it had the same engine that is in your boys GS. the motor was stock from the intake manifold to the exhaust tip..the only mods were a TB, and a 65 shot...and a good clutch. it ran 14.90s.
the stock 420A block will handle the 12psi, but nothing else will...my understanding is that the rings and pistons will fail first due to detonation, as the ignition and fuel system wont keep up with more than about 10psi
a properly boosted 420A will make enough power to beat you if he can drive....an improperly built 420A is going to blow up...

i'm pretty sure it's manual because that's what he's into. but he told me he doesn't have forged internals but he's getting them because he wants to make his motor more powerful[&:]. but as of now he doesn't have them. i'm thinking he'd beat me but i'm thinking he'd only beat me by a little so i won't care too much unless i get completely raped haha
