My car: 05 gt manual. mods = 332rwhp + 4.10 gears. So i was on the highway just minding my business, when one of the newer lexus is300's with a fart can on it does a fly by on me and then pulls in front and puts his flashers on. Im guessing he didnt have any mods but his fart can . I put it into third at about 4500rpmsand pull up behind him because there is some traffic. As soon as there are no cars in front of us at all he floors it and kinda caught me off guard but even that didnt help him. I punch it and switch lanes fast, and as i go by him i wave to him [8D]. Seriously i thought those cars would be SOME faster than that i was disapointed. Im not too good with time but I would say within 5-10 seconds of me hitting it i hadbuslengths on him and i just quit as it wasnt worth going anymore to me.

 

u say it was the newer ones? meaning the is350/250? ...nice kill....sounds like it was the older is300

 

the most power theIS serires comes with is around 300 odd hp. at least to my knowledge. then again im not too familiar with lexus. who wants a $36k toyota?[:'(]

I don't know much about the IS250...i think it has a V6 pushin like maybe...210-240 hpish?

but the IS350 are the ones to look out for....306 hp, 6 speed auto....good for 13s (mid to high)

If so, it's a 2001-2005 and only about 210 crank horsepower hah. Even with all NA boltons they max out at about 210 wheel horsepower.
HOWEVER, it has basically an NA supra engine, and with a turbo they can be pretty nasty. With internals upgrades and a turbo they can be completely dominant.
If it looked like this, it was an IS250/350:


The IS250 is basically as fast as my car, and the IS350 as said before runs like mid 13s stock.

What will be exciting is when the new IS-F comes out, you might have your hands full with one of those. 500+hp RWD V8! ^_^

You think the IS300 / IS350s are ugly? You're honestly the first person I've ever heard say that ha ha....

 

...yeah I always thought the IS series was set up with good looking cars.

Those new IS350s are just ridiculously fast though.
