I was at a light going onto the highway. I had my music up kind of loud and i saw a ricer celica pull up behind me. I heard him rev his engine and i just laughed. I didnt think anything of it until he whipped into the left lane and passed me. I couldnt just let him do that so i threw it in third and it was all over after that. I hate when people think their car is fast just because it has a 4" exhaust coming out of the back.

i hope so. i mean, its a celica for crying out loud. if it was a turbo MR2, then, yeah, could be a little diff outcome. and yes, i know they make turbo kits for celicas, and bolt on one, and blah blah blah. its still a celica. still slow. any V8 'Stang should have NO problem with a celica. hell, i toy with cars like that. makes it more fun, and gives u a little more time to think about how bad you want to embarass them

 

Exactly. a Celica has what 1.8 liters?

They make them in a 6 speed tranny though, so i'm sure they get killer gas mileage, but who cares about that?

 

WOW, you guys know nothing about the 2000-2005 Celica GTS's. They come witha 1.8L, 180hp engine with auto and 6spd manual, and only weigh 2500lbs. The 6spd manuals are capable of high 14's stock, so that would take 94-98 GT's, all v6's, and some 5.0 fox bodies. You must have raced a GT or older Celica before 2000, because if you really have a v6, or pre 99 GT, than you would have been beat, just aslong as his Celica was a 6spd. Not all Celicas are ricers and junk, I know a few running high 13's to low 14's with basic bolt ons, so yeah, they can beat you.

Yep, but come on, 1.8L, 180hp, 2500lbs, running high 14's in a N/A stock 4 cylinder. I'm glad my wife actually liked the look of the Celica and wanted to get one. I love driving that thing, switching gears and hearingthe intake and exhaust, and it doesnt sound like a fart can, it sounds pretty good, (not better than the Stang though).
