2006 Tiburon Q
A kid at my high school recently recieved a 2006 Hyundai tiburon GT V6, 2.7L Delta V6, 5 speed. 170hp at 6,000rpms and 181ft/lbs of torque at 3800rpms. He says his Tiburon would destroy my mustang, I say he cant, etc. I've been trying to get him out to Firebird for a while now, but he wont go. Anyways, I'm almost positive I'd win, but dont know anything about these cars except that the only GT V6 I've raced I beat, but I beat it badly enought from a roll that it could definitely be driver related. Anywho, whats the skinny on these things? I'm itching to race this kid, but just want some more info. Thanks guys.

meh those cars don't look that bad. But they make less HP than a new edge sixxer

uhhhhhhhh lets see FWD...they probably make around a whopping 135-140 at the wheels. I'd imagine your stang would make a little more than that, when it was stock at least.
Total rappage, oh noes call the cops this car's gonna get SPANKED!
buttt are you sure its a 5 speed and not a 6 speed?

they are a mid 15 second car
considering they weigh about 3 grand with a driver, they aren't roll monsters either....
if you both drive em hard and fair from a dig, the stang will get about a length or two IMO

Yeah, I know for sure it's a 5-speed. Said something about his tranny being better than my tranny when he found out I had an automatic. And dammit, his transexual sure as hell isnt better than MY transexual, lol. He's a little guy, already fried the clutch in this bish. So I dont think he'd exactly be the best driver out there. Still trying to race this kid, he just cant because of his clutch. BTW, after getting the car, his folks probably couldnt afford to get him a girlfriend too =)
As for the 3.9L V6, only in 2004 mustangs. It's 3.9L in stead of 3.8L because 2004 was the engine's last year in production and Ford wanted to save some money. So all of the Essex powered cars in the 2004 model year had the same bore/stroke and rod length, called it the 3.9L and there you go. Last pushrod engine Ford put in a factory mustang.
