Have you ever been called out by the same person multiple times? A guy with a 98 Formula has called me out for the fourth time. I've already beat him three times and he hasn't made any changes to his car but seems to think he can beat me this time. I don't even know if I'm going to waste my time on him again. I even posted one of the vids on here of me beating the guy. Should I race him again or not even bother?

 

has he done some work? were the races close?

did he miss a gear? was he "granny shifting, not double clutching like he should"?

Yeah, don't race him unless it's for money. Have a third party hold the money beforehand. See if he still wants to go.

 

He claims that he hasn't done any work. He has an auto with a 3000 stall and it shifts really hard. The first time we raced it was really close. So close that I had to look at the lights to see who won. The only reason it was close was because my car was hot and it only ran 8.47 (1/8th) to his 8.49. My car would run 8.0s consistantly cooled down. I started taking the air filter off when I run at the track a few weeks ago and my car now runs 7.8s and 7.7s. I'm wondering if he put nitrous on his car though, he says he didn't but I don't trust anyone that wants to run me for money.

EDIT: The second and third race I ran 8.0s to his 8.4s so I beat him pretty bad. So, now that he knows how fast my car is, why would he call me out if he has no more work done to his car? He said he wants to use slicks to run me and that will make up the difference but he used slicks the last time we raced and I beat him the worst ever on that race.

 

He never had me, he never had his car.

 

Get a nice cool down at the track and take his money.

 

Personally, I wouldn't waste my time on a 4th run with the guy. If he seems so confident a 4th time around, sounds like he is lying and did something to his car that he won't tell you about. I for one can't stand people who have to lie about mods.

 

i dont know that i would bother...it sounds like he is progressively working on setting you up.
