I cant give you the encyclopedia run down, but as far as the LS1 cars go, the TA/Z28 are the base model V8 F-odies, and the SS/WS6 are the nicer upholstery, different hoods, wheels, etc. Basically better options list. Near same engines, something about a lid on the SS and ram air, etc. LT1 cars, I think the formula Firebird is like the performance oriented version of the TA, like the LX 5.0Ls. Not very many options, affordable, hell of a punch. But I'm leaving this to the GM guys.

The Trans-Am with the WS-6 package included a functional Ram-Air hood which allowed for a HP increase to 320-325HP from 305HP or 310HP depending on the year.The 01-02 LS1 Engine for the Camaro and the Formula/Trans-AM used a smaller camshaft than that of98-00 but received an increase in hp due to receiving the Corvette ls6 intake.
The Camaro SS and the Pontiac Trans-Am Firehawk were both modified by Ed Hamburgers SLP(street legal performance).It was pretty much like Burger King...have it your way.If you owned a 01-02 Camaro SS or Firehawk and opted for the optional SLP exhaust andhigh flow induction air lidupgrade performance was increased from 325HP to 345HP.That is a 35hp increase over the Camaro z28 and the Formula/non WS-6 Trans-Am.

The term "Terminator" is referred to terminating the reign of the LS1.....and it did......However a C5 and a 03/04 Cobra is a drivers race...

Just saying I know the worlds fastest ls1 is faster than the worlds fastest 4.6, so why even worry about them when they are stock??? PS The ls1 vette will terminate the terminator on top speed and top end power.
