Default 8.74 run..

Well.. I just bought a pair of 26x11.50 16 MT ET Streets. I tried um out at the local 1/8th mile.. not as good as what I was expecting but.. either way..

Here are some video's :

Notice how the car kinda bounces out of the hole a couple times... whats up with that? I have bbk springs and factory shocks

Any tips or advice would be appreciated

Your 60 is really bad. Looks like the tires didnt even hook well.Try staling it about 1800 RPM then launch

Well I actually was running 16 lb of air in them. I was leaving at about 3200 er so I had a tuner issue that wouldn't let my 2 step rev limit go over 3500.

I was running 16 lb of air just because I was nervous.. first time out on slicks. I didn't know how they was going to act so I thought I had rather them spin a little than leave parts out on the track.

We were planning on going back tomar but the weather is crappy so don't guess we will.

This next time I plan to heat the tires up more, lower the psi. in the tires, and leave at about 4-5000 rpms and hope for the best

So a 1.8 60 ft time is bad?

One of those cars sounded mean as hell. Did the other car have cams?

1.83 is a good 60ft. Going too much under that is just asking for trouble IMO. Those are good times none the less.

Hold on a sec, your on slicks or the ET street drag radials?

If they are the drag radials they can definatly go faster but a 1.8 isn't that bad with a 3500 RPM launch.

If you go out and do a 5000 RPM clutch dump with even ET streets heated properly on a good track... your 60' time is probably going to be infinite, as your going to break the spider gear.
