well there i was heading home from work in my 99 stock gt and i see this camaro a car ahead of me at a light. I manage to get next to him and we look at each other. He goes and kicks it, or so it seems, and so do i. I pull nicely on him so i think that maybe his is stock too with just an exhaust job. He gets next to me after i slow down and tells me to go down to 25 mph cause we had some cars ahead of us. We wait for traffic to clear and he tells me to go. I go and then so does he and let me tell you, i was standing still. Imagine that you were going 15 mph and all of a sudden someone went by at 70. Thats how it felt. It was the loudest and fastest thing i have ever seen. The guy was cool though, we talked at the next light. He had a 383 storker and was pushing 450 to the wheels. He was even nice enough to rev his car for me cause my friend on the line (called him after i got spanked) wanted to hear it. Whatever, it was still fun to get owned by a car like that.

BTW, i live in Michigan and at the 12 oaks mall i saw a nice GT with licensce plate MYROUSH and with sequential blinkers driven by a chick. Anyone here?

 

you cant tell the difference between echaust and like what, 550ish hp?... and whats a 353 storker...383 stroker im thinking? but i could be wrong i suppose.. and what year is the camaro?

 

Yeah. there is no 353. I belive he might mean a 383. Was it an LS1 or LT1?

 

Well there was no way to tell what he had under. When he "supposedly" kicked it it didnt not sound like anything for when he did let it loose.

Sweet, a stroked 383 LS1 with unknown other mods could kick some butt. Lunati makes a pretty nice 383 kit. Just be glad that it wasn't a 427 beast [:-]

 

haha yeah man, either way it was nice to see a car like that. Another nice car i have had the pleasure to race was a v6 highly modded pushing 421 to the wheels. He was featured in musclemustang, hotrod, and 5.0 magazines. I got his number after being a valet at a wedding reception hall. He wouldnt let me drive it haha

At least you got a run. I can never get anyone to play with me. My last run in was over a year ago with a stock 01 GT.. It's not fair. Maybe you can find him again and see wha all he's got

 

yeah, i know that the place to race is up on telegraph and joy on saturday nights. (metro detroit area). There you can find whatever you want from rice burners (modded or not) to cameros, to trans ams to stangs. Most likely he goes up there but with it starting to snow up here i might have to wait till the spring till i go and see whats up over there. At least it gives me a chance to save some money to do some stuff to my car. :-D

btw, good luck finding a race, most of mine have just been luck

 

There is a girl here with an LT1 383 stroker kit and its BADASS! She took it down the track and slid the passanger side all the way down the guard railing. They fixed it though.
