Default Burnout Ticket

Alright huys, i need some advice/help. On saturday night, i worked my last day at Publix. After saying goodbye to everyone, i was joking around and asked my manager if i could do a celebration burnout. he said go for it so i did. i went around twice, gunned it out of the parking lot, and was pulled over by a cop sitting at a bank next to Publix. The ticket cost $120 and 4 points for careless driving. my dad says that the cop couldnt have given me a ticket since it was on "private property". he wants to go to court, but i think doing that would only result in more money, and possibly a worse sentence... what do you guys think?

if the manager/owner of the lot said you could and it was their private property you should be good to go, i would fight it.

i have also had a cop hassle me about doing a burnout on private property...he said that i was lucky that the smoke didnt travel onto the road, because i could then be ticketed for intentionally causing a hazardous road condition, or something along those lines...i would fight it.

i thought that burnout tickets were issued for two reasons...
1. because youre causing a possibly dangerous condition on the street with the smoke and distracting other drivers
2. youre damaging the roadway.

but burnouts arent illegal..just on public roads.

Justlike street racing is ok offpublic roads. I wouldthink at least.

Because of 1/4th 1/8th strips.

So everything on private property is ok, like burnouts, and speeding?
