It's too dangerous and the consequences too severe to risk it. I would rather race 2-3 times a year at the track.

If I can add a comment:
Going from 0-60 or even 80mph on a straight, limited access road that couldbe surveyed for a 50 or 55mph limitwith good, dry traction against another car isFAR FARsafer than my 30 to 75mph commute to and from work surrounded by various cars, BIG trucks and drivers in various states of disrepair, attentiveness and following distances.

Wow! this is great guys! i wasn't expecting anything close to the high volume of responses i have received. it is much appreciated!
As far as definine "illegal street racing" i would say anything that is either a.dangerous or b. could get you a ticket.
Everyone has a different definition of illegal so i guess thats another thing i will consider in my research.
anyway. all the extra feedback ya'll have given me is going to be as helpful (if not more)as the survey itself. i guess since the questions narrow much of the information.
