i think that they have 340hp...the reason that you see so many slower ones, is those huge stock rims. the guys who have run 14s stock are running the 17" base model wheels. actually, i havent seen one run 14s bone stock, he had an aftermarket muffler, but everything else was completely as it came off the showroom floor. ive talked to a guy with very simple stuff..exhaust, cai, programmer, and he was running mid 14s, and with headers and gears, he ran something liek 13.80
ive beaten quite a few third gen f-bodies in amandas truck...and it ran 14.80s...

i agree...i think that they werent very fast. i had an 83 with a 350 out of a truck, and it couldnt have beaten a 98 base model...let alone a 98 cobra...no iroc, i understand, but i wouldnt think that it was that much slower than an iroc...and it was SLOW.

You guys, Irocs were badass cars for their time, top performers next to the vettes.
Don't chew up a Camaro because you have a stang.
By todays standards, a mustang will kill a thirdgen camaro. Lets go back 20 years and see whats up.
BTW: 350's had around 235 - 245 HP towards the end. and it's not always about who runs faster, Camaro's have attitude....

my favorite camaro were the 2nd gen's with the Triangle grill.... never was a big fan of the 3rd gens

okay.... as stated earlier... 5.0 foxbody > 3rd gen... they were dogs... and today they are dinosaurs that aren't in the best of shape for the most part
