Nice run and win in this case but I would've run it 3 times and found a more open space to run. From the sounds of it you didn't even run a 1/4 mile. (Top of third which means what 90mph - 95mph?) Both the Cobra and your car would be in the 100's at the end of 1/4 and it sounds like the Cobra would've walked on by in the process.

 

top of 3rd, with stock gears should be 103mph. I would def. say cobra would have the top end. If it would have had traction, it would have walked you.
Those remote bottle openers are sweet to have, thats why i have one.

It is the 03 and 04 cobras.

They had an underrated 390 hp from a 4.6L 4v supercharged engine. They are basically worshipped on this and every other mustang site and a beacon of fear to many in the racing community.

 

when we went at the light and me off the bottle we did it to the top of third. yes he was going to walk me after that. but on the bottle went thru all gears except 5th.

 

There was a '04 Cobra at the dealer I got my mustang at and they said it would cost about 30k to buy it. Are they not basically the same thing as a shelby GT500 er whatever? It was a really nice looking car but I wasnt about to pay 30k+ for a 2004.

 

the 03/04 cobras are 4.6L supercharged 32v V8(underated 390hp) vs are 4.6L 24v V8(300hp)

the GT500 are 5.4L supercharged 32v V8 (500hp)

Both the 03/04 cobra and gt500's are very fast cars that can be made EVEN FASTER.

30k not to bad if its a low mile cobra for a dealer, i love cobras but since this is my 1st 8cyc and my dad was "helping" me buy my GT; i didnt want to push my luck since he though 300hp is alot for me (I'm 22).
