Had run in with an older M3 last night on the way home on the highway. Had some nice wheels and an exhaust. I pulled up next to him at about 60 in 3rd trying to get him to bite and he wouldn't so I just backed off it and all the sudden from about 1 car back I hear his downshift and he tries a german fly by....I slapped it up in 3rd and made up the nice head start and by the time I snapped into 4th at about 105 or so I was about to roll over him so I backed off. He sprinted out to about 25 cars and slowed down. I managed to catch up again and did a roll on from 85 which I was very suprised to say by 135 or so I was bout 4.5 cars up on him.

My car is bone stock 05 with 3.55 gears only. I've only had it about 3 weeks and this was my first actual time messing around in this car.

One thing to note I didn't realize just how fast these cars were in 4th.....I hit the 140 mark pretty darn fast......

oh well thought I'd share.

 

E36 M3s run 14.2-14.5 in stock trim, and with exhaust and a chip will break into very high 13s. They are 240hp stock, but weigh less than us, and are a perfect match for an SN95 GT for the most part.

Well must mean my car is somewhere in the 13s assuming I could drive it to that speed. Getting it off the line will be the most difficult part at the track.
