I ask on a mitsubishi forum who would win between a manual 99GSX Eclipseand an auto 2002 Mustang GT, and they said that the GSX would win hands down. Is this true?

the gsx's only advantage would be the lauch, due to the awd. if the pi gt driver can launch, it's all over for the mitsu. assuming both cars are close to stock.

They'll get you from a launch being that they are AWD and they have a weight advantage (3220lbs) that makes up for the difference in power GT 260hp,290tq > Mitsu 210hp,214tq. Keep in mind GSX's are very easy to mod with aboost controller or other 'plug-in' so you will probably have a very hard time finding a 'stock' one. Stock for stock though GT should be faster...just race and find out.

 

key word in that sentence " I ask on a mitsubishi forum"....lmao if you want to know which car is faster stock for stock in any scenario just look up 1/4 mile times...don't go to a ricer forum...in this case the PI, unless it is raining

 

Well I raped 2 different gst's from a dig and a roll.

1st one had boltons and was running 14psi and the other one was unknown. On the modded one I pulled a few buslengths from a stop and just made him look stupid from a roll. Same with the other one, but he actually hung for a second from a roll(not sure on his mods).

I would say if the gsx driver can launch(most people cant launch awd cars) then he will take maybe a car off the line, but by 30 he will be staring at taillights and getting raped. end of story

 

Your v8 will be the reason he looses.
