Nice kill. I could see if you were an sn-95 or v6 Stang, than the Si would have owned you, but being an 07 GT with mods, he didnt have a chance.

To the original poster-- great job! It's always fun to put a jacka$$ in his place.
There alot of talking smack cuz they beat a few other cars they woulnt think they could. but i have to say its fwd w/ no tq; it will kill a 98 gt past 60. They have run in the 14's stock before, but non the less no match for a 07 GT.
I have a buddy w/ 1 that think he can keep up from 70 on...lol

Some of you are so far up your asses about Mustangs it aint even funny. Now I would definately rather own a Mustang than a Civic, but the new Si's avg 14.8-15.0 in the 1/4 mile. Only a first time driver would run 15.3 or worse. And an auto, 98 GT that is stock, would run mid to low 15's, so there is no way in hell in a full 1/4 mile race a stock auto 98 GT would beat a new Civic Si with a good driver. Who cares about RWD > FWD, look at the #'s, the weight, horsepower, gearing, the Civic would win.

All of these tests confirm that the Si is not a sub 15 second car, stock. I'm right on track by saying that it's a 15.1-15.5 second car in my previous post. You say look at the horsepower and gearing? The Si puts out 199 hp and 139 ft.-lbs. torque--all above 7000 rpm! That's at the flywheel, so who knows what it's actually putting to the ground. It takes 7 seconds to hit 60! It would be close, you're right there, however I think the GT would win.
