I drove by the Rice.... errr.. Hot Import Night thing at the Dulles Expo and was going to go in and check it out. Way too crowded and I didn't want my car getting vandilized for being a domestic.

Coming out I get to a light with an evo full of kids. Probably like no older than 19. Windows were down since it was nice and one of them made a comment "Ever see a pony get walked?" followed by something else I didn't quite make out. Light turns green and he takes off of course with is AWD. Everyone waving and yelling "SEE-YA". By the time I hit second I was zooming by them like they were standing still. Next red light I was ready to go again and the lane was open next to me. He was coming up but then got behind me instead at the last second. I looked in my rear view and they were all talking amongst themselves glancing up to see if I was looking. Trying to play it off. Following light they made a U turn anyway.

Oh, should probably add, there were some pretty decent cars there when I drove by. But of course there was tons of rice. The body kitted Celica with black rims seemed to be the favorite though.

 

i should also add that on my way there, there was a really cute chick in a white 05+ GT vert next to me on rt 50 that started to pace me. PM me if you read this!

HAHAH! Classic. Nothing like beating an AWD car. You'll never guess how many times I've heard, "I'm AWD and will rip you from the hole..." All the while I'm on pure slicks and skinnies.

hahaha. yeah. a stang is generally nearly stock, or modded to hell. he just picked the wrong one to "walk".

I've yet to be outlaunched by an AWD car...even when the car was only going 1.7's and 1.6's on DR's. I'm glad you beat the **** out of them. It's great to beat someone, but it's better to beat someone infront of all their nutswinging friends. Wished I could have been there.

 

yeah. cause AWD is the end-all to racing. i should also mention i was shifting at only 5200rpm roughly. my car runs out of fuel if i get near 5500rpm and i get fuel spikes and the lovely CEL comes on. so i had to short shift it a bit.
