what are my odds against a 2006 vette. not the z06 but the c6. on an 1/8th mile track and the guy just got the car and has never raced at the track. my best time is an 8.66. he is completely stock. would i even come close?

 

oh yeah, if hes never raced at the track before then youll have pretty easy

 

forgot to talk about my car. 01 cobra 5sp with o/r h, catback, cai, mgw, 4.10's, springs, and 315 kdw2's out back. the 4.10's help a lot on the 1/8th mile cuz its so much faster through 1st and 2nd gear. the guy thinks he has me covered by so much. what do yall think?

 

I'd hope he'd do better than an 8.6, if not he really sucks.

no, you'd have to outdrive him by more than a bit. If he can drive at all you shouldn't be even close to him.

I don't think it's gonna be as bad as these guys make it sound, but I'm sure you'lllose.

 

even if it's a car or 2 that's a lot for the 1/8 mile, it would definately be worse in the 1/4. That's cars pull hard on the big end, enough to make up for driver error.
