Well I was taking my happy *** home from work on a 4 lane road doing 75 in a 65. I'm trying to get my stupid sony bluetooth headset to work so i can call my wife and this little silver bumble bee flew up beside me and revd his engine. Of course the road was about to merge to two lane and there was traffic everywhere so i didn't even bother wasting my gas.

Anyone seen the newer celicas at the track, how fast can they get down the 1/4? They can't possibly weigh that much.

I raped a GTS in the Fox when it was as close to stock as possible. And minewas an auto. Probably lucky to break into the 15's.

I looked up the hp numbers. I was just wondering if they can be made faster without dropping serious cash. I doubt he had a turbo, but he could have had a bottle.[sm=nxsmile.gif] Maybe he had a 100 shot or maybe he just didn't care if he lost. I'm sure I'll see him again, hopefully on a open road next time.

 

with 100 shot spray, he could beat you i believe since he is like 1000lbs lighter. with power adder and some workthey can be pretty fast. (like in 13s)don't worry about them,you are good.

 

slow. very slow. Everyone says they are fast...but its one of those cars thats IMPOSSIBLE to drive to their potential. THey say low 15's for 1/4...but i would smoke my buddy in my old stick 6er vert. by like 2 lengths to 70. They have NO bottom end whatsoever....but from a roll im sure theyre worthy, because of that vvti ****. but i doubt they weigh 2500-2600 lbs...a two seat go kart called a miata weighs 24XX, thats just too light. On the car itself it says curb weight loaded is like 31XX on my buddies.

 

My girlfriend has an 05 celica GT.. its not fast... at all. and I hate the clutch feel in the car.

 

If I saw any Celica (base, GT or GT-S) with a 100 shot I would run away from it as fast as I could. I'd give it 5 seconds before it exploded.

But yea if that happened to me on the street I'd do this... let him beat me inthe1st race by a length or 2,say "damn that thing's quick"andwatch his reaction. Then inthe2nd race,don't hold backone bitand THEN watch his reaction. THEN GET IT ON CAMERA ANDYOUTUBE IT!!! haha
