I was on my way to pick upmy girl from work this afternoon to take a lunch break with her and Ipulled up to a red light next to some older model Acura Legend withone of those big dual tipped chrome tail pipes that bend upward. Not sure if theres a name for it.. Anyways as I rolled up I saw it and laughed b/c smoke was pouring out his exaust and the whole back of the white car was covered with a black film fromhis upward pointing smoke cannon. I rolled my window up as I got next to him to keep the smell out of the car. I'm just minding my business at this point and I hear "Hey!". It didn't really register that someone was yelling at ME so I sat there and he yelled again "Hey!" and the driver honked the horn so I looked over. He motioned for me to roll the window down so I cracked it a little andhe says "What's a 232?".I say "V6" and he gives me this disgusted look like what he was sitting in was in any way half as nice as my car. The driver starts getting all antsy and stairs up at the light waiting for it to turn green obviously about to floor it. I figure what the hell I'll give him a race. The light turns green and I took off and all I heard from him was a loud POP! lol I looked back in the mirror and the car was still sitting in the same place. I dunno if something exploded or he just stalled it orwhat but it was pretty ****in funny. I wish someone had been there with me to see it.Ricers are just so stupid. Idon't understand what is going through these peoples minds..

I don't see any sense in makin a new post but I just wanted to add I racedthis red s197 V6 (with red nder lighting..)on the interstate earlier tonight and I actually pulled on him pretty hard from 90-100+. I thought the newer ones were supposed to have a little edge on 99-04's? Or would the few mods I have actually give me an edge?

 

Nice kill on the Legend, but I guess I can see your kinda lucky he didnt actually run with you. Them Legends starting in 91 had a 3.2L v6 that put out over 200hp and could hold its on for a v6. Now what happened with the newer v6 Mustang, I have no idea, he should have beat you, your mods arent gonna shave off a half to full second. You sure he was actually racing?

 

I don't think theres any doubt it's a race when you're both going in excess of 100mph.. especially sincewe were nose to nose from 70-90 in fairly comparable cars and I was stompin it.I may have went a little overboard saying I pulled hard on him. Letsjustsay I started gaining a little ground after 90mph.

 

I dont know then. Have you ever been to the track? The mods you have are good for about a 15.4-15.6 if your a decent driver. The 05+ v6's are good for a 15 flat stock in a 5spd and about a 15.1-15.2 stock in an auto.
