Launching question
ok...when you are lauching a car you let the clutch in and put it in first rev to (whatever) and let the clutch out when you do that you wheels spin so do you wait till it to get done spinning then floor it?!

On street tires, a couple seconds (for the burn out). On slicks, untill they push the car forward.
Launching off the line, you only want the tires to spin MAYBE one revolution, a little chirp off the line will let you know you got it right.

my tires will spin if I mash it anywhere in 1st. Powershifting into 2nd also results in a fair amount of tire spinning. I've walked the rear end out getting on the freeway a couple of times by rolling into the depths of 2nd gear starting at about 40. In the rain I've kicked the tail end out on the freeway in 4th. That's exciting.
Sometimes I like messing with people. Like the kid in the 535 the other day. Thought he was all fast and stuff. Until I crabwalked it through the intersection smoking the tires in first and second (up to about the speed limit). He blew past me after I lifted, but his reaction at the next light was too funny.

I think if I were to put the skinny by short 14" tires back on the car I'd be able to lay down a lot more rubber.
But instead I've got heavier, taller, wider 17"ers on. I'll let you know how the tire-smoking goes when I get around to buying a supercharger.
