once I get a new stang..
I already have 2 friends that would race me once I get my hands on a new stang. the first is my buddy with an LS cobalt that he is going to do some mods on once he gets back home after this semester ends this week, the second is another friend with a lancer. Hers is just the regular lancer, but I assume a 5.0 would take both of them on.

OH NO THE BIG BAD SLOWBALTIS COMING, NOTHING CAN STOP IT!RUNNN!haha I raced a lightly modded (exhaust, short throw, CAI)SS S/C and beat him when I had justCAI and ehxaust. Remember I'm an auto, too. Of course, I'm a GT as well, were you talking about getting a V6?But even if...against a Slowbalt, I'd say line up with him, get out of your car, assume the olympic runner position, and tell him to count it off. To ensure good traction, switch out your regular street shoes with Nike Shox D/R'sbefore the race and eat some veggies to boost that octane up to at least110.
I told my buddy with the cobalt that I would take him from a 30 mph roll on the highway, 1st to 100 wins, my friend with the lancer wants to do the same thing too. once I get the check for the car in my sig I'll have around 2grand to start out with to find a decent five liter within a 100-150 mile radius of where I live. I have been hunting for a few weeks now. if I cannot find a good five liter, I'd go with a new edge sixer, though I am hesitant about a v6 after the one in the car I sold basically imploded on me...after I rebuilt the top end...[:@]
as for starting on a roll, there are no good roads where I go toschoolthat are two-3 lanes where I would beable to start from a dig, and the nearest track is far away
either way I know the Lancer is no match, it is a stock base model with an automatic, and the cobalt shouldnt be too tough either my buddy said it puts out 145hp stock, and this summer he is doing the exhaust, CAI, and a tune or a chip (IDR) he may also hook it up with a dry shot of N20 after I told him a dry kit is not all too expensive. but by then he should only be pushing 160ish, if that...
but I may be a bit generous with that number...
ony time will telll...
