hey guys.. on my way home tonight.. i saw a black car behind me tailing me.. and i saw it was a kid.. so i was like.. hmmmm.. well anyways.. i thought it was my friend in his m3.. well it wasnt.. he cut inbetween me and the car behind me on the right... (got a lead / advantage / head start).. and i was in second waiting for him to do this.. cruising at about only 30 - 35.. low enough rpms that i didnt have a good start at all.. realll slow.. so anyways..

i climbed up to redline.. shifted up untill thrid i caguht up and was almost steady wiht him.. then he pulled away slowly up to about 95 were he was about 3-4 car lengths.. and i just slowed down.. (famous spot for cops).. and then he flicked his hazards.. took it as good race.. since he gave me a thumbs up when he slowed down and went behind me..

i wish i could have raced him again.. from a rolling start and from a stop..

i wanna say that it was a IS300.. or something along those lines.. maybe a GS..

not sure of the new body styles.. but it was goin trhough gears like they were goin out of style..

but ya thats my story of the mysterious Lexus model VS. my stock 5 speed GT..

is that a descent loss.. or horrible?.. im about to lok up the stats on the lexus's.

firstoff we don't even know what year stang??? but yeah starting from a 30 roll in 2nd means bogging down unless you have gears...

 

ya it was forsure.. i have an 07.. i was disapointed bc i felt like if i had it better off the start then i could have been closer.. and not feel like i was raped..

 

ohh damn an 07 with 3.31 or 3.55 gears will leave you horribly out of the powerband, me personally I would've gone to first gear and hauled some *** ...

 

ya im a little scared to drop it into first at that speed.. i think twice about it when im goin 20!!.. let alone thirty...

but if im climbing i hold first till redline..

but since the car is barely a month old.. soon i will i have some mods.. want to do geears.. but that really plays with warranty.. and i might do a tune and intake.. but duno it its all worth the money.. when i could possibly get better stuff..a nd REALLY dont want to run a 93 tune.. gas is rediculous right now..

 

Those older lexus sc300 and sc 400's were quick and I could see them hanging with a new GT like that

i doubt it was those 2....it was probaly the is350

 

not that quick. not even close. it was either a GS430 with the v8, a severely modded IS 300 (not uncommon), or the New IS's which are supposedly very quick.

 

It was probably an IS350. They're like 305hp. My IS300 isn't really fast, and even modified they max out at about 220whp naturally aspirated. You *could* have run into a turbocharged one that could have whooped your *** though...there are a bunch out there that are no joke. Anything is possible

 

no it was a new body style one..liek 06 or up.. im really thinking it was a GS ... i thought about the tail light design and remembered how the new GS is..
