Agreed! BMW is definitely a car I like. Like I said above though, Acura is a low end luxury sedan...the cheapest.

My bone stock '04 5ATTL ran 14.7@97 the new TL is rated at 258 but is the same as the '04 which was rated at 270 so they should be equal, the new TL-S is rated at 287hp with the new rating method Acura uses to measure so I'm sure it's in the lower 14's.

So i'm a little confused. Did you already race this feller? I'm guessing not cuz it seems kinda silly that you'd go race one and win and then come here and ask if you would win. But idk, its late lol.

 

Yep, they look sweet, the engine is great but they are built like every other car costing much less. The headliner is cheap and held up by velcro tabs that fall off on hot days, the top dash speakers aren't mounted so rattle and the dash rattles, the rear deck rattles because of poor materials used in the plastic that warps in the sun and causes it to rattle.

Never in my life have I had a car that rattled as bad as my TL, and that includes my 1969 SS Chevelle, it didn't rattle nearly as much. I loved the look of the car, but they can keep it.

EDIT, I forgot to mention the Turanza debacle, the tires flat spotted so bad it would shake your arms via the steering wheel, it took me 2 months of that before Acura replaced them, with the same crap Turanza's, which were almost as bad. I called Acura and they said they weren't responsible for the tires they installed on the car, that had me laughing, I promised them I'd never buy another one, and it's a promise I intend to keep.
