A Scion TC can run mid 15's stock and 15.3-15.4 with a good driver. Your 88GT convertible shouldnt have really pulled that much on him, and if he was S/C or turbo'd, you would have been PWNED!! Nice kill anyways.

 

GReddy makes a kit for them that promises 300 crank HP.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when the tc first came out, wasn't it available with a factory blower?

I think you could order a Toyota factory S/C for it, but I dont think they had them on their lot S/Ced.

There was an article, I believe it was the cover of an issue of an import magazine, "I know hardly any of you guys would know about that", but anyways, it had a turbo'd Scion TC with 596whp I believe, it was pretty f'in sick.

 

I know when a friend was buying her TC they had one on the show room for 25K. It had the body kit, fog lamps, racing seats, s/c, wing and couple of other stuff. With the factory s/c it was barely 200hp.

 

Thats why I've always thought a 4 cylinder and most v6's should have turbos instead of S/C. You could throw a turbo on a TC, run 9psi and hit atleast 250rwhp, probably closer to 300 though.

 

I thought the super charger option was a factory add on like the ford racing ones used to be for the mustangs

 

I'm pretty sure you'd have to do alot of searching and have to order something like this, but I believe it would also have to be brand new.

 

I have a 99 GT that runs 13.3's. Last time at the track I raced one I had up to half track and then just went past me like I was standing still he ended up with an 11.9. I asked him what he had done to it. It seems you can buy them with various options. He said his was a stage three with a chip and exhaust. Do not know if he was telling the truth but that thing was quick!!!!!!!!!1

 

theres a couple magazines that were out awhile back with a little asian dude holding a big wrench in front of a TC.... he pulled out a claimed500WHP according to the descriptions, they can be fast... but it would prolly take alot of time and effort
