2002FordFocus SVT 0-60 = 7.8 1/4= 16.1
2003FordFocus SVT 0-60 = 7.7 1/4= 15.9

I always thought they were good for at least a low 15, they are much slower than I thought

A good driver can get a low 15 out of them. But on avg they are mid to high 15's.

A kid at my college has a red one with an intake and some sort of tuner and I beat him every time in my stock2000 Z24. About 70, he starts to creep back up and when my governor kicks in at 108 he's at my door. I expected more outta his car.

sounds like he needs to learn out to drive, i've beaten Z24s with my ZX3 focus[&:]

and howard, the best i've seen a stock one run at the track was 15.3

What kind of Z24's were you racing? Were they the one's from the 80's? A ZX3 Focus is a high 16 second car whereas anewer Z24 is a mid to low 15 second car if you can drive.

an SVT focus should take a Z24....and no not just cuz this is a ford forum. Motor trend had a special a few years ago about them against a GTI, sentra ser spec v, civic SI hatch and one other (i forget what) and the only thing to beat it in speed was the GTI and in handling and quality and ride the SVT took them all...and they got a 15.6X outta the svt, if they can do that, an SVT should do low 15's, as i have seen it do. plus looks wise, SVT > any Z24 anyday.

Ew, SVT Focus's are butt-ugly. Focuses are some of the ugliest cars out there. The SVT's look a little better than your average Focus but still don't look great. I'd take my Z24 over one any day. But I'm getting out of the 4 banger game and getting some muscle soon anyways. And just because a Focus can take those cars why does that mean it can take a Z24? None of those cars are a Z24 and they're all pretty much adrivers race.And I was just stating my experience with an SVT, and it really doesn't impress me at all that my Z24 was able to beat it. We even did a roll from about 30-35 up to 100 and I still took it which is pretty sad on the SVT's part.
